A new civil engineering firm has opened its doors in downtown Cornwall.

EVB Engineering began operations earlier in March, and will focus its brand on civil engineering projects, with a specialty in water and wastewater infrastructure.

The firm also plans to focus much of its efforts on subdivision and land development work, but president Josh Eamon said EVB has services that can tailored to many projects.

“All of us are either engineers, or technologists or technicians,” he said of the eight individuals who currently make up EVB.

EVB’s team has 95 years of combined work experience in the Municipal Engineering field in Ontario. Consulting services also provided by the team of professionals include preliminary/conceptual design, detail design services, estimation, public consultation, tendering services, construction administration and site inspection services on a wide range of municipal Infrastructure projects.

Eamon, who is joined by vice-presidents Jamie Baker and Marco Vincelli, said the decision to locate the new business downtown rested with a desire to combine location with work space. EVB is located at 208 Pitt Street.

“We just started the company and we were looking for office space and trying to find the right fit for us. We came across this building which was just perfect,” said Eamon. “We’re really enjoying working downtown , with being so close to restaurants and everything that goes with this.”

EVB can be found online via its website, and Facebook.
