Love Love Food has a new home, and deep roots downtown

CORNWALL, Ontario – The look and location may have changed, but the main ingredient for success at Love Love Food still includes a liberal dose of downtown.

The popular eatery and bakery has moved around the corner to some new digs at 109 Pitt Street – just a stone’s throw from its former home on Second Street East.

The reason?

“We grew very quickly,” said owner Tony Lacroix. “This is a little larger. Everything is together now. It makes it easier for the kitchen to run, the bakery to run.

“We had so many people here this morning (for opening day). Now we have enough seating. We have a lounge area where you can sit and have a coffee and relax.”

Lacroix said despite the need to find a larger home, there was never any doubt that his business would remain downtown.

“I would never leave downtown,” he exclaimed. “The people who helped me build this business are all downtown.”

A new location also means some new menu items. Breakfast sandwiches, available Monday through Friday will soon be on the menu, in addition to some other items.

Love Love Food is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
